| Im not sure Im following you here. Are you saying that things in
reality are relational, and that according to Kant, the a priori
categories of relation enable us to grasp the existing relationships,
as opposed to creating them in our minds?
I believe that this is just what I said. Its an epistemological issue
of what enables us to grasp them; the metaphysical status of
relationships, on the other hand, I am not sure enough. |
| Respect your clients anxieties about disclosure of ual orientation,
which may be based on real fears of discrimination and its effects on child
custody, family support, job security, and/or deportation. Choices about
disclosure of orientation and same- relationships are those of your
clients and theirs alone. |
| Fred:
Numbers are also not separate existents (Pythagoras to the contrary
nothwithstanding), but things do exist (metaphysically, independently
of us) in certain quantities and have measurable relationships
identifiable by physical laws. |
| As far as not being able to delete the extra relationships
and tables, the only time Ive seen that kind of thing is
when I forgot I was working in the frontend db. The
relationships are defined and must be manipulated directly
in the backend db. |
| Having said that, this thread within a thread began when I
characterized Betsys posts regarding relationships as Kantian. I
was referring to his doctrine of the twelve categories, and
specifically categories of relation. According to this doctrine as I
understand it, these categories, which exist in our mind a priori,
make impositions upon our sense data such that we experience
relationships. |
